With a November 7, 2014 release date, Christopher Nolan's Interstellar is set to seal the deal on this being the best year for sci-fi movies in a long, long time. So far the plot details have been (thankfully) pretty vague. All we know is that it takes place in a future where Earth has become unsustainable for life, so mankind finally turns to the stars to hopefully colonize another world so that humanity doesn't die trapped on this pale blue dot. And apparently the man for that job is Matthew McConaughey.

Well, the new trailer (the one that was revealed at Comic-Con just days ago) has arrived online, and while it doesn't show off anything all that extra in terms of plot, it does dial up the emotions to 11. In particular, Mackenzie Foy is just crushing it out of the ballpark and into another galaxy as McConaughey's daughter. Her refusal to let go is a nice contrast to the optimism that McConaughey's mission represents for all of mankind.

Also, try to pay attention to McConaughey's age throughout the trailer. Is he aging backwards in space?
