One week from today, fans of all kinds will be storming through the halls of Comic-Con. Why wait until then to get the excitement going, though? Entertainment Weekly has a new issue previewing this year's event, and inside are a bunch of new images from the hottest movie set to present in Hall H next weekend, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
There are two very noteworthy stills, one of them featuring Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) appearing to be putting the moves on Diana Prince, aka Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), while the two are at a black-tie affair. Do they already know each other in this moment? Are they pretending to be a couple? Are they familiar with each other's superhero alter egos? We still have many months before we'll know (when it opens on March 25, 2016).
The other photo that immediately catches our attention is of Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor. He has long hair in the image, and it looks like it could possibly be a wig. It could be his actual hair before he goes bald, and we do know Eisenberg will be bald in this movie. But wealthy real estate tycoons keep themselves up better than that shaggy mess, right?
Affleck costumed as Wayne can also be seen in the below behind-the-scenes image also featuring director Zack Synder. The actor also spoke to EW about the movie. "Batman is basically the American version of Hamlet,” he said in regards to how he'll compare to past Caped Crusaders on-screen. “We accept that he’s played by actors with different interpretations.”
He also told the magazine in this movie slightly gray-haired Batman is "at the end of his run and maybe the end of his life. There’s this sort of world-weariness to it."
