Silver and Black: Back in late May, we heard that Gina Prince-Bythewood (Beyond the Lights, above) had been hired to direct a movie about Marvel characters Silver Sable and Black, two women who operate on both sides of the law. The movie has been titled Silver and Black; it's now been scheduled for theatrical release on February 8, 2019, confirming it as the second installment in Sony's new Spider-Man cinematic universe, after Venom, which is due on October 5, 2018. Leonardo da Vinci: Leonardo DiCaprio (The Revenant, above) will star in and produce a movie about the legendary painter and scientist Leonardo da Vinci. Paramount has secured the screen rights to Walter Isaacson's forthcoming biography Leonardo da Vinci, which will be published on October 17. Rumor has it that DiCaprio's pregnant mother named him after da Vinci during a visit to Italy. [Deadline]
