The noir thriller is based on Susanna Jones' novel about a young expatriate in Tokyo who is suspected of murder after her friend goes missing. Jet Trash: Before she appeared in big Hollywood productions like The Mummy and Atomic Blonde (above), Sofia Boutella costarred in Jet Trash, which had its world premiere in 2016. Now the action thriller will finally surface in the U.S. Indican Pictures has acquired rights to distribute the film and plans a limited spring release this year. Max Ford: Writer/producer Noam Dromi, whose credits include Dolphin Tale (above), and writer Evan Greene will develop a film titled Max Ford. It will be drawn from Climatized, a novel by Sally Fernandez, which follows a former FBI agent named Max Ford as she becomes embroiled in an international conspiracy. The intention is to launch an action-movie franchise in the spirit of the Jason Bourne series. [Variety]
