Tom Cruise will be returning once again to the Mission Impossible franchise for a fourth time along with Mission: Impossible III helmer, J.J. Abrams as co-producers according to Variety.
Cruise last starred as Ethan Hunt in the third installment of the franchise in 2006. There's no word on whether Cruise will star again or if Abrams will be directing as, according to a studio spokesperson, they are only attached as producers at this point.
