Whether we want it or not, it definitely looks like we’re going to get an adaptation of the book Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, which reimagines history by making our 16th President not only the leader of our country, but also a ruthless vampire hunter out for, well, blood after learning at an early age that his mother was killed by a supernatural predator.
Wanted director Timur Bekmambetov will helm the 3D film which will now star Benjamin Walker as Abraham Lincoln. Walker is an up-and-coming actor who played another President, Andrew Jackson, in the off-Broadway play Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, which should’ve prepared him for this new role. Walker was also supposed to be play Beast in X-Men: First Class, but oddly turned it down in order to continue starring in the off-Broadway play. This time, however, his schedule has cleared up, and he’ll be donning the traditional top hat and beard in what has to be one of the more peculiar upcoming projects.
