The Lost King is the true story of Philippa Langley, a devoted mother and amateur historian. Philippa (Sally Hawkins) aims to uncover the long-lost remains of King Richard III, whose legacy she believes has been unfairly. Her burning need to correct the record pits her against Britain’s most highly-esteemed historians. As she grows closer to the truth, she beings having visions of King Richard III himself.
In our exclusive clip below, Philippa discusses Richard III’s legacy with her ex-husband (Steve Coogan, who also co-wrote the screenplay). As she shows him some of her research about the king’s historical portrayal, he cautions her not to idealize the man.
