I'm a big Pixar fan, and I'm really looking forward to Toy Story 3 later this year. The one Pixar film I wasn't crazy about, though, was Cars – and I'm not sure if it was because I was sick when I first watched it, or because it just didn't do anything for me, but whatever the case I don't have too many fond memories of it. Maybe I'm just a moron – could be.
In any case, the first piece of concept art from Cars 2 has arrived online in the form of an image that gives you a taste of what will make this film different from the first: most notably the fact that our hero, Lightning McQueen, is now a world traveler.
For those globally challenged out there, the image shows Lightning McQueen racing in Tokyo Japan with Mount Fuji in the background. Here's a previously-released description of the film:
All the world's a racetrack as racing superstar Lightning McQueen zooms back into action, with his best friend Mater in tow, to take on the globe's fastest and finest in this thrilling high-octane new installment of the "Cars" saga.
