While Lionsgate is already adapting the Lincoln Lawyer for TV, vice chairman Michael Burns disclosed yesterday in an interview with CNBC that, "We're going to do a sequel on Lincoln Lawyer as well."

Released in March, The Lincoln Lawyer starred Matthew McConaughey as a criminal defense attorney who does business from the back of a chauffeured Lincoln. The movie was a modest hit earning $75 million worldwide.

Protagonist Michael "Mickey" Haller is a character in five different novels by Michael Connelly, who is also co-writing the TV pilot.

Burns also touted The Hunger Games frequently, but didn't offer any details about Lionsgate's attempts to merge with Summit Entertainment other than to say, "Consolidation makes sense in the industry." Summit is home to the lucrative cash cow known as Twilight.

And just when you thought it had been laid to rest, Burns said that the Saw franchise, which has seven titles in its lineup thus far will probably return.

"I'm sure someday you'll see Saw back in the picture." Whether this means a series reboot or a further continuation from Saw 3D was not mentioned.

You can watch the full interview below in which he talks about Netflix, Mad Men and how, "awards are great but I'd rather make the money."
