I know it’s difficult to remember – what with all the tabloid filth and rehab visits -- but there was a time when Lindsay Lohan looked to be a Hollywood star in the making. She spent her early career in film churning out kiddie flicks like Herbie Fully Loaded and Freaky Friday, then graduated to the excellent (and underrated) Mean Girls before slowly falling down the fame ladder.
Now, after pouring a little bit of sleaze and controversy into unsuccessful films like Chapter 27, Georgia Rule and I Know Who Killed Me, La Lohan is no longer the girl you want in your movies, and, instead, is more like the girl you desperately want to stay away from – like a batch of poison ivy or an imitation Louis Vuitton bag. But perhaps Ms. Lohan can dig her way out of paparazzi hell and kick-start a successful modeling career.
According to statements she made to Nylon magazine (via Page Six), that might be the gal’s newest venture. She says, "I love doing photo shoots. I mean, if I could just sign with IMG and do ad campaigns and model more, I'd do that . . . because that's fun for me. That's not work." I can think of a number of evil things to say right now in response to that line, but let’s leave it at … "Good luck, Lindsay!"
IMDB says Lohan still has two iffy-looking films in the words: Labor Pains (which is due out this year) and Dare to Love Me (which still hasn’t gone into production). Other than that, there’s nada – and some sources report that Lohan might not be able to pay her bills if more gigs don’t come her way. So is it either a modeling career or a tasteless reality show in her future? What do you think?
Would you be upset if Lindsay Lohan quit acting for good? Or do you think there’s still some quality fight left in her?
