The second weekend in November just got interesting. Movie fans will have their choice of watching Daniel Craig as James Bond in Skyfall, Keira Knightley in the title role of Anna Karenina and now, Steven Spielberg's Lincoln, starring Daniel Day-Lewis.
The film will open limited on November 9 and then expand wide the following weekend, November 16.
Lincoln features a few other names you might recognize including Sally Field, Tommy Lee Jones, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Hal Holbrook, James Spader, David Strathairn, Walton Goggins, Jared Harris and more.
November traditionally marks the beginning of awards season, wherein studios release films they believe can contend for various trophies in the early part of the following year. Lincoln certainly comes with a lot of awards buzz and that's without having seen any footage yet. Spielberg is coming off of a Best Picture nomination for last year's War Horse while Day-Lewis has nabbed four Oscar nominations, including two wins. His most recent was for 2008's There Will Be Blood. Lincoln marks his first film since 2009's Oscar-nominated Nine.
Are you excited to see what Spielberg and Day-Lewis have come up with?
