For months, the press have been doing whatever they could to convince us that Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson were an item off screen, as well as on screen as Bella and Edward in the Twilight movies. Now, though, proof may have finally surfaced in the form of an Oprah interview that will air later this week on May 13th. Apparently neither K-Stew nor R-Patz actually confessed to being a couple on air; instead, according to E! Online, reps for Summit Entertainment confirmed ahead of time that the two were dating, though all parties agreed to play the non-committal game during the actual show.
Honestly it all sounds rather suspicious, and more than likely the "news" was leaked on purpose ahead of time not only to build hype for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, but also to get lots and lots of people to tune in to the Oprah show on Thursday. In all seriousness, though, what sort of impact could news that the two of them are dating have on the release of the next film?
In my opinion, it could have a huge impact, and I wouldn't be surprised if Summit was in favor of this becoming a big news story a month before release since the buzz of them being a real-life couple (who also get their groove on in the next film) could land a lot more butts in seats.
