Those fans of Must-See TV will be pretty stoked to learn that Steve Carell (star of The Office) is starring opposite Tina Fey (of 30 Rock fame) in an upcoming comedy called Date Night. In the film, Carell and Fey play a boring married couple who decide to go out for dinner at a fancy restaurant where, in order to get a table, they pretend to be someone else – someone who didn't care to show up for their reservation. Unfortunately for our boring married couple, though, that "someone else" has a huge target on their back – and before you know it, Carell and Fey are running from bad guys and running into a number of familiar faces like Mila Kunis, Leighton Meester, Mark Wahlberg, James Franco, Mark Ruffalo, Kristen Wiig, and Ray Liotta.

Directed by Shawn Levy (Night at the Museum), this is obviously positioning itself to be one of the more talked-about action-comedies of 2010. However, the first trailer debuted yesterday and, well, I was a little underwhelmed. Sure, the cast is great and it looks chock-full of amusing bits, but I guess I was hoping for something a little more appetizing – especially with Carell and Fey in the lead roles.

What do you think? Is Date Night the must-see comedy of 2010? Watch the trailer below and sound off in the comments.
