While it’s hard to resist the grown-up Angry Birds featured in the game we know and love, the adorable hatchings featured in the promo for The Angry Birds Movie are doing their best to steal the show. In honor of these incredibly cute little critters, here’s a way hatch some creativity on your own.
You’ll Need:
5 large pastel colored Pom Poms
5 sets of googly eyes
5 small pastel colored feathers
3 yellow pipe cleaners
5 kernels of corn
Glue gun
Directions:
Heat up your glue gun and follow the steps below.
1. Cut the yellow pipe cleaners in half and then cut those in half again. Take one section and fold in half and twist at where the bend is. Separate and angle in a V shape. That makes one bird foot. Repeat for the rest, you should have a total of 10 total “feet.”
2. Glue two googly eyes on each Pom Pom.
3. Glue the feather to the top of each Pom Pom and glue the corn kernel “beak” in the middle of the face, right below and centered between the eyes.
4. Glue the yellow pipe cleaner feet onto the bottom of the Pom Pom.
Repeat steps 1-4 to create the rest of your own Hatchlings.
