“Guests at Hotel Transylvania, including Murray the Mummy (Cee-Lo Green), Frank (Kevin James), Wayne (Steve Buscemi) and Wanda (Molly Shannon), are in for a surprise by host Dracula!”

Edward, Bella and the rest of the Twilight Saga brood aren’t the only vampires descending on San Diego Comic Con later this week. Count Dracula, himself, will appear (in animated form) at a special panel Thursday afternoon celebrating Sony Pictures Animation’s upcoming release, Hotel Transylvania.

To help fans prepare for the Comic-Con presentation, Sony shared four exclusive images of director Genndy Tartakovsky (Dexter’s Laboratory, Samurai Jack, Star Wars: Clone Wars) and his team as they work behind the scenes bringing Transylvania to life. The film stars Adam Sandler as Dracula, who runs an offbeat resort where creatures of the night can get away from scaring and relax. But plans shift when a human tourist (Andy Samberg) stumbles on the exclusive getaway, somehow falling in love with Dracula’s teenage daughter, Mavis (Selena Gomez).

In addition to Sandler, Samberg and Gomez, Transylvania features the vocal talents of several Sandler regulars, including Kevin James as Frankenstein; David Spade as the Invisible Man; John Lovitz as Quasimodo; Steve Buscemi as Wayne; and The Voice coach Cee-Lo Green as Murray the Mummy.

Tartakovsky and producer Michelle Murdocca (pictured below) will be in the Indigo Ballroom Thursday afternoon at 3 p.m. PST with never-before-seen Hotel Transylvania footage. Following the panel, Tartakovsky will be signing a limited edition Hotel Transylvania poster created exclusively for Comic-Con fans at the Sony booth #4229 at 4 p.m.

But if you can’t make it to San Diego, we have images to share with you right here. The animated family comedy Hotel Transylvania hits theaters on Sept. 28. Expect to hear more about the film as Comic-Con rolls on, but for now, what do you think of these early behind-the-scenes shots?
