South by Southwest (SXSW), held annually in Austin, Texas, gets underway today with a bevy of film screenings, including a healthy selection of horror movies that will (hopefully) be making their way to theaters near you in the coming months. Here's an advance look at three of them.
13 Sins
Mark Webber (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) stars as a struggling salesman who receives a cryptic phone call, offering increasing rewards for a series of tasks. The tasks demand increasing levels of risk and danger, both for the salesman and for innocent strangers, drawing the interest of law enforcement in the person of Ron Perlman. Directed by Daniel Stamm (The Last Exorcism); based on the 2006 Thai film known internationally as 13 Beloved. [IGN]

Honeymoon
Newlywed couple Paul and Bea (Harry Treadaway and Rose Leslie) decide to spend their honeymoon in a remote location for the ultimate in privacy and intimacy. But then Bea begins acting in a very peculiar manner, and as her behavior becomes more erratic, Paul starts to suspect that unearthly forces may have been unleashed that threaten their romantic bond -- and their lives. [Bloody Disgusting]
Stage Fright
Something terrible happens to Broadway star Minnie Driver in the opening moments of the trailer, and then we flash-forward to see her daughter Camilla (Allie MacDonald) working at a performing arts camp with kids who all look like they're auditioning for TV's Glee. But then the awful, gruesome murders slash into the story, and it's every performing artist's nightmare -- or dream come true, depending on your point of view. Jerome Sable directed this very black horror/comedy/musical. [Magnet]
