We've got new clips and trailers from three upcoming movies to warm your horror heart.
Here Comes the Devil, December 13
Opening in select theaters and on VOD this Friday, December 13, Here Comes the Devil is the latest from director Adrián García Bogliano, who previously made the nail-biting suspense thriller Cold Sweat and and the slow-boiling horror picture Penumbra. The new film follows a family on a trip to a rural area in Mexico. The two children disappear, leaving their parents frantic. When the children show up again, no one knows what happened to them, but everyone soon sees that neither the children nor their parents will ever be the same again. A new clip gives a little taste of what transpires after the family returns home and tries to resume their normal life.
Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones, January 3
Ready to welcome the new year with a disturbing supernatural drama? Richard Cabral, Carlos Pratts and Eddie J. Fernandez star in Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones, which has been classified as a spin-off from the main franchise. Via Dread Central, we have three new clips to share; they're similar, but each has a slightly different focus, and the third one has a snippet of previously unseen footage as well. The movie opens wide in theaters on January 3.
Big Bad Wolves, January 17
A most unusual horror film from Israel, Big Bad Wolves follows a hard-nosed cop and an angry father on the trail of a particularly heinous serial killer, whose victims are children. When a suspect is freed on a technicality, the cop and the father decide to mete out justice on their own. This is an extremely well made, brutally violent movie with a demented sense of humor. The first trailer for the upcoming U.S. release gives a little idea of what to expect when it opens in select theaters on January 17.
