It's my belief that once Where the Wild Things Are hits theaters on October 16th, there will be a massive outcry for Wild Things-inspired Halloween costumes – especially when it comes to the lead character Max and his very cool hooded Wild Things pajamas. But what about adults? Ya know, those folks who grew up reading Maurice Sendak's classic book and are looking forward to the upcoming film even more than their children are? What do they get?
Well, those with a little extra pocket change can head on over to Opening Ceremony, where they've just unveiled an entire collection inspired by Where the Wild Things Are. Those pajamas that Max wore in the film are there, too, though they'll cost you a staggering $610 per pair. Oh yes, in fact the cheapest thing on the menu is a Max-inspired sweatshirt for $460. Yikes! On second thought, I still have my Spider-Man pajamas …
Those of you looking to rock out some Wild Things attire for a more reasonable price can head on over to Urban Outfitters, who also have unveiled their own line of Wild Things clothing and accessories. Of course the best way to honor the book and film is to grab a loved one (or two) and create your own Wild Things costumes with objects you have lying around the house by being creative and using your imagination.
