Fresh on the heels of the acquisition of The Place Beyond the Pines by Focus Features come two clips from the film. The first one focuses mainly on Ryan Gosling, interspersed with interview sound bites from writer/director Derek Cianfrance, who directed Gosling in My Blue Valentine.
The second is an extended clip featuring Bradley Cooper being interrogated by Bruce Greenwood.
Here’s the official synopsis:
Luke (Ryan Gosling) is a professional motorcycle rider who turns to bank robberies to support his newborn son. But when he crosses paths with a rookie police officer (Bradley Cooper), their violent confrontation spirals into a tense generational feud. The Place Beyond the Pines is a rich dramatic thriller, tracing the intersecting lives of fathers and sons, cops and robbers, heroes and villains.
What do you think of the first couple of clips from the film? Early reviews coming out of the Toronto Film Festival have audiences buzzing about the crime drama.
No release date yet, but look for the film to hit theaters as soon as November or December of this year to possibly qualify for the awards-season run.
