Are your kids sad, mad, glad about that first day of class? We have the perfect project to help them get in touch with all their feelings about school days: Inside Out-inspired mood erasers!
These cute and colorful erasers will be there to help kids make it through even the toughest homework assignment. Here’s how to make them at home!
What you’ll need:
Eraser clay
Pencil with no eraser
Baking sheet
Oven
Step 1: Knead the clay and make a nice round ball. Just like the memories! You’ll want to start with the lightest color to avoid getting it dirty with other darker colors of clay. I started with yellow, and then moved on to red/orange, purple, blue and green
Step 2: Take your pencil with no eraser and gently push the metal end into the ball of clay. Tip: Try slowly twisting it around to get a nice cut out shape. Make sure the opening of the clay is tightly secured around the pencil top, then remove the clay from the pencil carefully.
Step 3: Place the balls on your baking sheet. Preheat your oven according to your clay’s instructions and bake.
Step 4: Let the erasers cool and place them on top of your pencils!
