Now that Seth McFarlane has successfully taken over the Fox network with animated programs like Family Guy, The Cleveland Show and American Dad, it's about time the raunchy, comedic funnyman ventured into big-screen territory to see if his brand of humor can be sustained for more than 22 minutes at a time. Deadline reports that Universal Pictures has acquired Ted, which will mark the directorial debut of Seth McFarlane, and is based off a script written by McFarlane and his Family Guy cohorts Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild.
