We’ve seen a lot of marketing for a lot of movies so far in 2010, but I have to say I’m really diggin’ the promos for David Fincher’s The Social Network so far – to the point where it’s fast becoming my favorite marketing campaign of the year. The Social Network is based on Bez Mezrich’s fantastic novel The Accidental Billionaires (which I’ve read and will totally vouch for), and it tells the story of the founding of Facebook; from how the site was launched in a dorm room to the many people screwed over and the many lawsuits filed along the way. It’s a crazy story that’s oddly inspiring, and I definitely recommend reading it before seeing the movie this October.
