Shortly after the debut of the first trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Fandango was able to chat with the cast in attendance at Star Wars Celebration, including the awesome John Boyega, who is reprising the role of Finn in the Force Awakens sequel.

While the Force Awakens leaves off with Finn injured – and even the new Last Jedi trailer shows him in a chamber, apparently still healing from his wounds – Boyega promised us that he’ll be back and very physical in the film.

“Yeah very physical, very physical,” he said. "He’s on a new mission, there’s a new goal now. The Resistance is under immense pressure. The First Order is back and badder than ever, and it requires Finn to make a choice as to what side he’s on.”

So just how badass is Finn in this movie? “Finn has some combat in this one, and it’s going to be really interesting and people are going to love it,” Boyega teased.

Finally, we couldn’t let him go without asking for his personal favorite moment from the trailer? “Rey’s hands on the floor, with the stones vibrating up. It shows that her powers have grown.”

Just how much have they grown? We’ll see when Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits theaters on December 15.
