This drama was directed and co-written by Robert Zemeckis and stars Tom Hanks, Robin Wright, Paul Bettany, Kelly Reilly and Michelle Dockery. Here is based on the 2014 graphic novel of the same name, which focuses one single spot of land and the people who use it, spanning from the past on into the future. Zemeckis, who’s best known for directing classics like the Back to the Future trilogy, Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988), Cast Away (2000) and Forrest Gump (1994), co-wrote the screenplay for Here with Eric Roth, who has been Oscar-nominated six times for Best Adapted Screenplay, including a win for Forrest Gump. And speaking of that 30-year-old film, this production reunites key figures from that movie including Hanks, Wright, Zemeckis, Roth, cinematographer Don Burgess and composer Alan Silvestri. .

With a voice cast that includes names like Jason Sudeikis, Lilly Singh, Rainn Wilson, Anitta, RuPaul, Hannah Gadsby, Andy Serkis, Flavor Flav and Charlie Adler, this animated comedy centers around Hitpig (Sudeikis), a bounty hunter pig in a futuristic cyberpunk world who ends up on a global adventure with Pickles (Singh), a free-spirited elephant he had originally set out to capture. Hitpig! was directed by Cinzia Angelini and David Feiss, and comes from an original story by Berkeley Breathed, stemming from his 2008 children's book Pete & Pickles.

Based on the 1972 international bestseller of the same name by Barbara Robinson, this Christmas dramedy was directed by Dallas Jenkins, creator of the series The Chosen. The movie centers around the Herdmans, six juvenile delinquent siblings who sneak into a church looking for snacks and end up finding themselves starring in the town's Christmas pageant. Judy Greer stars as Grace, who is directing the pageant for the first time. She’s joined by Pete Holmes as her husband, Bob, and Lauren Graham as the film’s narrator.

In the post-apocalyptic Rocky Mountains, a single father and two women leave the safety of their homes to try and save the life of a young boy. This action thriller stars Anthony Mackie, Morena Baccarin, Maddie Hasson, and Tony Goldwyn Elevation was directed by George Nolfi, best known for helming films like The Adjustment Bureau (2011) with Matt Damon and The Banker (2020) with Mackie. He also served as a producer for this movie alongside Mackie and others.

In this suspense thriller, Hugh Grant stars as the creepy and diabolical Mr. Reed, a Scottish man who welcomes two young women missionaries into his home... and intp a deadly game of cat-and-mouse when they try to leave. The movie also stars Sophie Thatcher, Chloe East and Topher Grace, and was written and directed by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, a filmmaking duo who created the story for and co-wrote A Quiet Place (2018). After premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival back in September, Heretic is Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes.

Throw in Krampus, a polar bear security agent and some knife-wielding Yeti, and you have the perfect action comedy for your early holiday season entertainment.

Directed by Jon M. Chu of Crazy Rich Asians (2018) fame, this eagerly-anticipated film is the first of a two-part film adaptation of the smash stage musical Wicked, which is of course based on Gregory Maguire's 1995 novel centering around characters from the original The Wizard of Oz book and 1939 movie. So, in other words, it’s an adaptation of an adaptation based on an adaptation -- but still wholly original. Telling this song-filled story about how the Wicked Witch of the West rose to wickedness are stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, with Jeff Goldblum, Michelle Yeoh, Bowen Yang and Peter Dinklage in supporting roles.
Gladiator II

Arriving in theaters 24 years after Russell Crowe starred in the original film, legendary director Ridley Scott is back with a new Gladiator story. Paul Mescal stars as Lucius, the now-grown nephew of Joaquin Phoenix’s Commodus character from Gladiator (2000). After Roman soldiers invade, kill his wife and force Lucius into slavery, he trains to fight as a gladiator under the mentorship of a former slave who wants to overthrow the current young emperors in charge. Pedro Pascal and Denzel Washington co-star alongside Connie Nielsen and Derek Jacobi, who reprise their roles as Lucilla and Senator Gracchus from the first movie.

Three years after the events of Moana (2016), Moana and company -- including her 3-year-old little sister Simea -- answer the ancestors' call to find the lost island of Motufetu, which was hidden by a jealous God of Storms. With Lin-Manual Miranda unable to return to write the music for the sequel, the award-winning team of Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear stepped in with the idea of further capturing and representing the Moana character. Auli?i Cravalho, Dwayne Johnson, Temuera Morrison, Nicole Scherzinger, Rachel House and Alan Tudyk all reprise their roles from Moana, with Khaleesi Lambert-Tsuda, Rose Matafeo, David Fane and others joining the cast for round two. Moana 2 was directed by David Derrick Jr., Jason Hand and Dana Ledoux Miller in their feature directorial debuts. Miller also co-wrote the screenplay with Jared Bush, who wrote the first film.

The month of November will also see plenty of re-releases hitting theaters, mostly celebrating milestone anniversaries. From the start of a big-time action franchise to a quirky Sci Fi one-off and everything in between, this list has plenty to choose from for movie-goers in the coming weeks.
