Call it a well-timed coincidence or an eerie prediction of the future from a movie featuring characters who travel to the future. Watch what happens when Jon Stewart's announcement of his departure from The Daily Show and the release of next week's Hot Tub Time Machine 2 collide in a very amusing way.
Yup, that's current Daily Show correspondent Jessica Williams in the captain's chair as Daily Show host in 2025, which is the year our heroes (Craig Robinson, Rob Corddry, Clark Duke) travel to in the sequel.
Since Stewart just made his announcement this week, there's obviously no word yet who his replacement will be. How funny would it be if this clip helped Williams become an actual contender for the gig, and if Hot Tub Time Machine 2 actually wound up predicting the outcome of one of the year's biggest media-related news stories?
That would definitely be enough to move forward with a part three. Whaddya think?
