The weekend before Comic-Con is usually busier than normal, with studios gearing up for the annual convention. This year has the added bonus of The Dark Knight Rises opening a week after the Con and the marketing campaign is in high gear.

A 13-minute featurette offering sound bites from cast and crew members as well as footage from The Dark Knight Rises landed online Saturday. In the new featurette, director Christopher Nolan as well as actors Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Gary Oldman tease their characters and the movie while producers talk about Nolan's use of practical visual effects and how he shuns CGI.

There's a lot here to excite Batman fans who have been waiting on pins and needles for this movie to open as well as pull in the casual moviegoer who might be curious to see what all the fuss is about.

Take a look at the clip below. The Dark Knight Rises arrives in theaters July 20.
