Army Men Cupcakes
You’ll need:
chocolate cupcakes, baked and cooled
Army Men food picks
green sanding sugar
Matcha Green Tea Buttercream:
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
1-1/2 cups powdered sugar
1-1/2 tablespoons matcha powder
pinch of salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 tablespoons milk, as needed
In the bowl of an electric mixer cream the butter while slowly adding the sugar, a little at a time.
Add matcha, salt, and vanilla. Then add the milk as needed.
Beat until light and fluffy.
Pipe the frosting on the cupcakes, then randomly sprinkle with green sanding sugar. Top with an Army Men food pick to serve.
Gumball Aliens
You’ll need:
green gumballs
white icing
icing eyeballs
With a #3 tip, pipe white icing onto the gumballs and add the icing eyeballs.
When the icing is set the gumballs are ready to serve.
