Scrat has always had a tough relationship with his beloved acorn, chasing it from the air to the land to the sea. How far will he go when Ice Age: Collision Course comes out?
The toothy squirrel just wants a bite to eat, is that too much to ask? Help make things easier by making these sweet acorns out of marshmallows and chocolate. It’s the perfect prehistoric snack for summer movie watching.
Ingredients:
12 marshmallows
6 mini pretzels
Brown chocolate sprinkles
Dipping chocolate ingredients:
1 1⁄2 cups chocolate chips
2 tablespoons shortening
Directions:
Prep a baking sheet with parchment.
In a double boiler, melt the chocolate and the shortening and stir until combined and glossy.
Break the pretzels into hooklike pieces and poke into the tops of the marshmallows.
Dip the marshmallows until covered and place on the prepped parchment.
Sprinkle the tops with chocolate sprinkles and place the baking sheet in the refrigerator to chill.
Once the chocolate has hardened, approximately 10 minutes, the acorns are ready to serve.
