Recession? What recession? Elizabeth Banks, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Robin Wright Penn were among the stars on the red carpet for the opening ceremony of the 62nd Cannes Film Festival, and their glamorous gowns showed no hint of the cutbacks that even the 8,000-pound gorilla of film festivals made this year. Despite a decrease in yacht rentals and lavish parties the fest was still plenty lively, with tons of brilliant balloons setting the stage in Pixar fashion -- for the first time, Cannes opened in 3-D with Disney's animated feature Up.
