
The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences revealed 21 animated features that will be eligible for nomination in the Animated Feature Film category for the 85th Academy Awards.
Several of the films listed below have not had their required Los Angeles qualifying runs yet. Submitted features must fulfill the theatrical release requirements and comply with all of the category's other qualifying rules before they can advance in the voting process.
At least eight eligible animated features must be theatrically released in Los Angeles within the calendar year for the category to be activated.
Films submitted for the Animated Feature Film category can also be eligible for other categories, including Best Picture.
Here are the 21 films eligible for nominations, which will be announced on January 10, 2013 at 5:30 a.m. PST. The Academy Awards will be televised on ABC and throughout 225 countries worldwide on February 24, 2013.
