Well well well … guess who's still bullying all the other films around almost a month after it debuted in theaters? Yup, James Cameron's Avatar continues to surprise the heck out of everyone as it brings in big numbers week after week, making it so no other new releases can get near the top spot at the box office. Last week Avatar pulled in $50 million, while the closest film to it (Sherlock Holmes) brought home $16.5 million. So, yeah, obviously there's some room to make up…and maybe one of this week's films can do just that. Let's take a look…

'The Book of Eli' and 'The Spy Next Door'

What's the Scoop: Denzel Washington stars in this post-apocalyptic film about a wandering loner who fights his way across the American wasteland while protecting a sacred book that holds the keys to saving humanity.

Why It Might Win the Weekend: Denzel Washington is still a pretty big draw, and the commercials – which show Washington kicking tons of butt – have been cycling through nonstop. Plus, Mila Kunis (who co-stars) is absolutely beautiful and a real treat to watch on screen.

What's the Scoop: Jackie Chan stars in this kid's film about a former CIA agent (Chan) who's asked to babysit his girlfriend's kids. However, when one of the kids accidentally downloads some top secret document, Russian terrorists decide to pay the family a visit.

Why It Might Win the Weekend: Kids movie + Jackie Chan jumping and kicking bad guys in hilarious PG fashion = something for the parents to do with their little ones over the weekend.

My Prediction: Sure, Denzel is The Man, and Jackie Chan definitely has all the right moves, but I still don't think they have enough to nudge Avatar out of the top spot – especially when the film is still responsible for 73% of all advance ticket sales on Fandango (as of yesterday afternoon).
