Will Tron: Legacy  continue its box office domination, or will one of the new Christmas-week releases pass the big-budget effects-heavy behemoth right by? Let’s take a look at what’s out this week (and weekend) …

What’s The Scoop: The Focker clan is back, only this time there’s a couple of kids to look after. There are still family problems though since Jack Byrnes (Robert De Niro) doesn’t trust his son-in-law, played by Ben Stiller. Look for the familiar rivalry to heat up again when Jack and wife come to visit the family for a child’s birthday.
Why It Might Win The Weekend: These are characters we know and already love, and while buzz is that this installment doesn’t quite live up to the previous two, you’re still guaranteed a few laughs out of this lot.

What’s The Scoop: An updated version of the classic tale starring Jack Black as a guy who’s magically transported to a mysterious place full of really tiny people with larger-than-life personalities and problems.
Why It Might Win The Weekend: It’s got Jack Black being silly surrounded by special effects and 3D. Sure, why not?

What’s The Scoop: A remake of the classic 1969 John Wayne film, this version directed by the Coen Bros. stars newcomer Hailee Steinfeld as a whip-smart 14-year-old who hires a washed-up, drunken U.S. Marshal to help locate the man who killed her father. Matt Damon also stars a s a Texas Ranger who joins the duo on their quest.
Why It Might Win The Weekend: Awards buzz and an excellent cast could help give this Western throwback some decent numbers.
My Prediction: Since Gulliver’s Travels is playing on 1000 less screens than Little Fockers, I have to go with the latter to win it all. But maybe Tron: Legacy can pull an upset – you never know …
Now it’s your turn – who do you think will win the weekend?
