Elvis, Baz Luhrmann’s look at the life of Elvis Presley, opens in theaters on June 24.

The story of Elvis Presley is steeped in myth. We know the broad details of his life, but those don’t fully answer the question: How did a shy kid from Mississippi become a rock icon? That's the question Luhrmann sets out to answer.

Austin Butler stars as the young adult Presley. Tom Hanks takes on the role of manager Col. Tom Parker, and Olivia DeJonge plays Elvis’s wife, Priscilla. In the course of the movie, Elvis also encounters legendary music figures like B.B. King (Kelvin Harrison Jr.), Jimmie Rodgers Snow (Kodi Smit-McPhee), Little Richard (Alton Mason) and Sister Rosetta Tharpe (Yola Quartey).
