'Amazing Spider-Man 2': Who’s Who?

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 weaves a tangled web of characters from the good to the bad, which means familiar faces will be joining some new ones. A trio of villains is introduced this time too, so you’ll want to know who you should love to hate.

Spider-Man, whose real name is Peter Parker, is played by Andrew Garfield. Equipped with fancy suit and mask, he has the ability to scale buildings and spin webs to catch criminals or swing from skyscraper to skyscraper.

Gwen Stacy, Spider-Man’s main squeeze, is played by Emma Stone. She's like the cutesy Meg Ryan to You’ve Got Mail’s Tom Hanks. If Tom Hanks wore a spandex suit and saved lives instead of sending e-mails or playing with volleyballs, that is.

Harry Osborn, a.k.a. the Green Goblin, is played by Dane DeHaan. This longstanding Spider-Man frenemy is the rich kid turned bad. He’s Richie Rich meets Syndrome from The Incredibles.

Aleksei Sytsevich, a.k.a The Rhino, is played by Paul Giamatti. The Oscar nominee takes a leap from his tenderhearted roles in Cinderella Man and Saving Mr. Banks to play a devilish character whose special suit gives him superhuman strength and speed.

Electro is played by Jamie Foxx whose real name in the movie is Max Dillon. Every time I think of Jamie Foxx playing Electro, Frozone from The Incredibles comes to mind. Once you get that imagery out of your mind, know that the two are nothing alike. Electro is a bad dude who electrifies the competition (and not in a good way).
