Garden graveyards, chevron-painted pumpkins (I might spend too much time on Pinterest), bags of deconstructed (plastic) skeletons, general plans to ransack the neighborhood for candy – the most wonderful time of the year is here!
As if the candy-coated awesome that is Halloween wasn’t enough already, the costumes that come along with it definitely win at all the things. Especially when kids are wearing them.
With parents getting all kinds of high on salted caramel and pumpkin spice lattes this time of year, creativity is the name of the game, and that game has gotten good. Really good. Mainly because people are channeling their caffeine-fueled craftiness into costumes inspired by everything from Breaking Bad to Lord of the Rings to I Love Lucy.
These 15 people makers have nailed it:
Clark Kent
Dobby the House Elf
Edward Scissorhands
Elliott and E.T.
Wicket the Ewok
Gimli
Harry Potter and Fluffy
The TARDIS
Dwight Schrute
Carl
Jesse Pinkman and Walter White
Don Draper
Charlie Brown
Sophia Petrillo
I Love Lucy's Lucy
Now we just need to see someone’s baby dressed as the Dowager Countess of Grantham or Jon Snow. Because winter is coming and vulgarity is no substitute for wit. Obviously.
