What is Mahanagar about?

Arati (Madhabi Mukherjee) takes a job as a door-to-door saleswoman in Calcutta's wealthy neighborhoods, in defiance of her traditionally minded husband, Subrata (Anil Chatterjee), and his live-in parents.
