What is Jazbaa about?

A Prominent, successful and respected criminal lawyer Anuradha Verma’s (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan) daughter is abducted and the abductor informs her that the only way she will ever see her daughter again is to defend a five-time convicted felon, who is charged with brutally raping and murdering a young women. The Abductor watches Anuradha’s every move, forces her to comply and orchestrates a perfect crime by outwitting the police. Anuradha’s friend Yohan (Irrfan Khan) a less than perfect suspended policeman with disregard for old rules is tangled up in his own mess to help her out. The prosecutor is a longtime rival who's determined to defeat Anuradha professionally.
