What is I Dood It about?
Lowly wage earner Joe (Red Skelton) presses pants for an upscale hotel where he daydreams of courting glamorous Broadway star Constance (Eleanor Powell) . A borrowed tuxedo puts Joe one step closer to the object of his fancy, but the impulsive Constance is less interested in Joe than in spiting her fiancé, Larry (Richard Ainley) . The bumbling Joe gets far more than he bargained for when Constance, believing him to be a wealthy mining tycoon, agrees to marry him.
