Frequently Asked Questions

What is Double Feature: The Shorts of David Lynch and Dumbland about?
With the generous participation of Janus Films and Absurda, we are pleased to close our series of films by filmmaker, graphic artist, and musician David Lynch with a rare opportunity to experience Lynch’s remastered short films on the big screen, paired together with his recent work DumbLand into a unique, first-of-its-kind presentation! Screenings will open with Janus Films’ new 2K Digital Restorations of six short films by David Lynch: Six Men Getting Sick (1967), The Alphabet (1968), The Grandmother (1970), The Amputee, Version 1 (1974), The Amputee, Version 2 (1974), and Premonitions Following an Evil Deed (1995). Shorts will be followed by a presentation of the complete DumbLand, a series of eight crudely-drawn five-minute animated shorts written, directed and voiced by Lynch in 2002. We thank Mr. Lynch and Absurda Films for allowing us this rare opportunity to present DumbLand on the big screen.
