Not for everyone but definitely original. Must be seen in 70mm and will leave a smile on your face if you're on Tati's wavelength.

what an amazing treat to see this film in 70mm, it is such a visually stuning film, there is so much going on, so much to see, if you have a chance to see this film on the big screen, do it, small screans can not do it justice.

Smart, funny social criticism through physical comedy

Went to the 70mm screenng of Jacques Tati's "Playtime" at the Egyptian Theater. The movie looked great, like a brand new print. The sound was pretty good, though I don't think it would suffer from modernization.

The movie itself is brilliant, using physical comedy (slapstick) to critique consumer society and globalization. Highly recommended.
