What started out as a rumor (and a very unfunny pre-April Fools joke) is now a confirmed fact. There is indeed a sequel to the 1988 Arnold Schwarzenegger/Danny DeVito comedy Twins in the works. The working title is Triplets, which obviously means you're going to need to bring in another actor--and it seems Eddie Murphy is at the top of the list. Yes, Eddie "A Thousand Words Is Still at 0% on RottenTomatoes" Murphy.
While the project remains in the very early stages of development, you can just imagine all the groan-inducing jokes that will spew from the actor's mouths.
Ivan Reitman, who directed the original movie, will only produce this sequel, leaving Universal and Montecito Picture Company with the duty of hiring a director as well as someone to write the script. Hey, easy paycheck, right?
Schwarzenegger had been considering doing a sequel since last June.
Schwarzenegger, DeVito and Murphy… does this sequel even have a shot at being successful?
Loved the original Twins.
Its going to be a hit or miss movie. nuff said.
Who knows, it might be funny...i loved Twins, i can imagine how funny its gonna be when they find out they have another brother. and especially when they find out he looks NOTHING like them. lol. they could start it off that their mom is on her death bed and confesses they have another brother...or maybe they start off that she passes away and as they go through her stuff they find out about it in the doctor's files she kept. Im predicting this.....Danny's character is a hot head so he was be so mad and storm off somewhere and Arnold's character and his wife and Danny's character's wife would go through her stuff...guess we will have to wait and see how it all plans out. wonder what crazy scheme they are gonna do this time. cant wait
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
