Kristen Stewart to Replace Angelina Jolie in 'Wanted 2'!?

Hold onto your seats for this one, folks, because it's a doozy. According to E! News, Kristen Stewart has met with Wanted director Timur Bekmambetov on at least one occasion with regards to taking over for Angelina Jolie in a sequel to Wanted. No, Stewart wouldn't be playing the same character Jolie played in the original; instead, she'd be taking on the role of a "young, ass-kicking assassin in the Fraternity." One assumes that Stewart would also play the love interest of James McAvoy's character.

Though the news is promising – especially after Wanted 2 seemed dead in the water once Jolie passed – a lot would have to happen to make this a reality. First off, they want to shoot the film in August, and Stewart will most likely be busy filming Breaking Dawn (which could be a two-parter, mind you). Meanwhile, McAvoy recently decided to take leave from acting in order to pursue other endeavors. So, all that does is leave Bekmambetov sitting around, twiddling his thumbs – and even he is getting restless, since E! also reports that the director is already looking to line up something else for the fall.

So, on paper, this seems like a bust…unless they decide to pick it up again once Stewart is done with Breaking Dawn. And even if she doesn't do Wanted 2, this could be an indication of the kind of stuff we're going to see from her once those Twilight days are over.
