The kind folks over at Anchor Bay Films have given us the exclusive poster premiere for Texas Killing Fields, opening in theaters on October 7th. The new crime thriller stars Sam Worthington and Jessica Chastain, hot off of their film together, The Debt, along with Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Chloe Grace Moretz. It's directed by Ami Canaan Mann, and produced by Michael Jaffee and crime film expert Michael Mann.
The story follows Worthington as a homicide detective in a small Texas town who pairs up with his partner, a transplanted New York City cop (Morgan), to investigate a series of gruesome murders, even though the swampland crime scenes are outside their jurisdiction. Eventually, the killer starts teasing them by leaving behind clues. After a local girl (Moretz) goes missing, the detectives find themselves in a race against the clock.
Here also is an exclusive image from the movie.

John, I understand that in the business of blogging it is not uncommon for mistakes to occur, whether it be a simple typo, misspelling, or, as was the case in your original publication of the article above, a lack of a plot synopsis. I'm glad that you noticed it and made the appropriate edit. However, I don't quite understand why it was decided to delete the earlier comments pointing out the glaring error. I've noticed other bloggers acknowledge their readers comments, then make the edit. To me, that reaction seems to follow a certain unwritten rule of etiquette - maybe I'm wrong. To delete the earlier comments (and maybe I'm only saying this since I was the one who initially pointed it out), comes across as a bit unprofessional. Thoughts?

Who cares? The movie synopsis is up now, and since this is a movie blog aimed at delivering news updates from the movie world, I'd say mission accomplished.
As of now, no one cares but me, which is totally fine. And I don't care enough to make a big deal about it. Like you said, it's just a movie blog and this subject is too heavy for a "do you plan on seeing this movie?" article.

Actually, that was my bad. When we received the poster, we didn't yet have an extended synopsis, which we added later to John's post. But you're absolutely right, I shouldn't have unpublished the prior comments, I should have just responded with an update. Thanks for checking out the post, and for commenting to let us know! Cheers, Chuck
