'Captain America' Fills Out in His Second, Kick-Ass Trailer

By: Peter Hall on June 24, 2011 at 12:42PM Comments (28)

Last week a new, longer trailer for Captain America: The First Avenger was shown to the attendees of the Hero Complex Film Festival, but don't worry if you missed it. There's no need to curse the sky and build a time machine, just click the big box below to watch a digitally shrunken Chris Evans turn into a super soldier and kick a bunch of Nazi ass.

Oh, and that song you hear? That's Tool's "Forty Six & 2," in case you were wondering.

All the recent Marvel movies are connected except First Class. Check out the alternate beginning for The Incredible Hulk. Scene: glacier. Hulk gets mad smashes glacier. I wonder why this was put in the dvd? Could the the Captain be in the ice? I'm just guessing. Fan-boy out.

If you pause the glacier scene, there is an outline of Caps shield in the ice. The colored rings are clearly visible... check it out.

Yeah, It looks pretty bad and I don't like Captain America as a super hero but If there is the prospect of material relating to "The Avengers" Then I have to see it. You use facebook...how sad.

If they follow the books at all it's pretty easy. Shortly after WWII cap was lost at sea, Iron Man found him in an iceberg and revived him. I don't know if they'll keep to that but he'll get preserved somehow no doubt.

Captain America is frozen in ice, left in suspended animation for decades and revived during modern day America. This may be the ending of the movie and I'm sorry if I spoiled it for you but you wanted to know.

Looks impressive. Chris Evans might actually pull this off. I also have a feeling that Hydra is going to be involved in next year's Marvel superhero extravaganza. The pieces are coming together perfectly and the final product is going to be huge. Not as huge as "The Dark Knight Rises," but still huge.
