As if the mere thought of a Candyland movie wasn't bad enough, Adam Sandler seems determined to continue his streak of bad movies going. Granted we're judging this movie before we've even seen a snippet of footage, but really?

After Universal passed on a movie adaptation of the board game, Sony Pictures and Sandler's Happy Madison production company have stepped in to bring that magical world to the big screen.

Kevin Lima, who helmed Enchanted, is still on board to direct this live action movie that Sony hopes will be another mega-hit like The Smurfs. Sandler will co-write with his frequent collaborator Robert Smigel on the script, replacing Kung Fu Panda 2 writers Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Burger.

The only question now is where will David Spade and Rob Schneider pop up in this movie?

Are you interested in a Candyland movie? Can Sandler and Sony succeed in bringing this board game to the big screen? Seriously, Rubik's Cube and Operation can't be far away.
