Cat on a Hot Tin Roof: 4.5/5

The main characters (played by impressive actors) face difficult truths in this intense story driven entirely by heated conversation; well written conversation, pointing towards plenty of ironies and insights. (That's right, it's based on a play.) It's not for everyone, given the bleak subject matter, but seekers of a thoughtful film with great performances and dialogue (with plenty of fuel for conversation after the credits) can't go wrong with this. A fine film with a perfect title.
