    The story of real-life Thai kick-boxing champion Nong Toom Prinya who struggle from the depths of poverty to provide for his family and ultimately transform himself into the woman he always felt inside is quaintly captured here in this decidedly independent film featuring a sweet central performance by first-time actor Aswanee who totally conveys the very disparate emotions of this individual who rose above society's judgments to become an inspirational figure and international hero. Quite an unusual movie based on real life accounts!
