    ALL ABOUT EVE

What more can be said about one of the all-time great backstage movies ever made! It has EVERYTHING: Sparkling, witty script ( Joseph Mankiewicz's finest hour both as writer AND director ), fantastic performances from a stellar cast ( Bette Davis, Anne Baxter, George Sanders, Celeste Holm, Thelma Ritter - just to name a few ) and wonderful dramatic power both as scintilating comedy and icy cold soap opera! One terrifc scene after another in this story of a conniving young actress as she snakes her way to the top of Broadway by using everyone in her path! Well worth a look - even for the 50th time!!

The Movie stands on it's own..what could I possibly say about it..

The audience was great and the free drinks at the reception area were a nice surprise.

I along with three other friends were encouraged to see and support the american cinemateque based on the recommendation of DAVID GROTH.

He highly promoted the movie ...
