  • Must Go!

    Death becomes him...

What a pleasant surprise! The Deaths of Ian Stone was a really great movie. I thought the special effects were really different and very well done especially for a low budget film. This film had all the elements of a great horror movie with lots of jumping out of your seat action and downright creepy moments all in tune with an interesting and satisfying storyline and great acting. I was so glad I went to see this in the theater. It was well worth it!

  • Must Go!

My favorite Horrorfest 2007 movie so far.

I knew I would like this movie as soon as I saw the opening shot; Ian Stone doing some fancy moves on ice in the middle of a hockey game with some great music overlaying the action. I enjoyed the story premise, the acting, and the occasional funny line. Ian Stone reminded me a little of Dean from Supernatural... a good looking guy who has the ability to get himself into and out of trouble. Jamie Murray, who played Medea, was beautiful and creepy. I especially enjoyed the ending. I was hoping it would end on such a note.

Overall the movie had an interesting premise, good acting, pretty good effects, and a satisfying ending. I and the people I went with had a lot of fun.

  • So-so

    Not bad, needs some work

What happens when a clever plot becomes a little too cliché... The Deaths of Ian Stone. This movie is an amalgam of several other stories, not least of which is Pixar's Monster's Inc.
It's a decent enough movie, good acting by the two leads, however the rest of the cast is a little hokey - their costumes were made from Matrix left-overs.
It's a story worth another effort; this was a good first draft.
