“If you’re right, the whole world’s going to want in on this.”

The second trailer for Kathryn Bigelow’s Zero Dark Thirty landed online at Apple iTunes this evening, giving us a far more comprehensive look at her “hunt for Osama Bin Laden” thriller now that we’re entering the final stretch of promotion. The movie opens in theaters on Dec. 19.

A stronger focus falls on Jessica Chastain in the clip, though she speaks no lines and isn’t even properly identified. From what we can gather, Chastain’s character is the driving force behind the military expedidtion that helped locate, capture and kill Bin Laden. The men in her company will be played by Joel Edgerton, Chris Pratt and Edgar Ramirez (to name a few), while the chain of command tying Chastain back to D.C. is personified by Kyle Chandler and Mark Strong.

“You will never find him. He is one of the disappeared ones.”

Beyond that, details remain scarce. The mission seems destined to fail. We know that it won’t. And if you saw Bigelow’s The Hurt Locker – for which she won the Oscar – you know that Zero Dark Thirty will be tense, intense, and as in-your-face as a movie like this needs to be.

Here’s the full trailer. It looks amazing. Will you be checking this out in theaters?
